Terms and Conditions for JALIKOI Multivendor E-commerce Platform

1. Introduction
Welcome to JALIKOI, a multivendor e-commerce platform operating in Rwanda. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the JALIKOI website, mobile application, and any other services provided by JALIKOI (collectively referred to as the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.
2. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
3. Account Registration
Creating an Account: To access certain features of our Services, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.
4. User Responsibilities
Buyers: As a buyer, you agree to provide accurate information for transactions, including shipping and payment details. You are responsible for reviewing product listings, understanding return policies, and complying with all applicable laws.
Vendors: As a vendor, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about your products, including descriptions, prices, and availability. You are responsible for fulfilling orders, handling returns, and complying with all applicable laws and JALIKOI policies.
5. Transactions
Order Placement: By placing an order on JALIKOI, you agree to pay the specified price for the products and any applicable taxes and shipping fees.
Payment Processing: Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. You agree to comply with the terms and conditions of the payment processor.
Order Fulfillment: Vendors are responsible for fulfilling orders in a timely manner. JALIKOI is not responsible for delays caused by vendors or third-party shipping companies.
6. Returns and Refunds
Return Policy: Each vendor may have their own return policy. Buyers are responsible for reviewing and understanding the return policy of the vendor before making a purchase.
Refunds: Refunds are processed in accordance with the vendor's return policy and JALIKOI's refund policy. JALIKOI reserves the right to mediate disputes between buyers and vendors.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
Illegal Activities: You must not use our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
Fraudulent Activities: You must not engage in any fraudulent activities, including but not limited to false advertising, counterfeit products, or unauthorized transactions.
Intellectual Property Violations: You must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
Abusive Behavior: You must not engage in any behavior that is abusive, harassing, or harmful to others.
8. Intellectual Property
Ownership: All content on the JALIKOI platform, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of JALIKOI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
License: JALIKOI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Termination
By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the account settings on our platform.
By JALIKOI: JALIKOI reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JALIKOI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the Services; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from our Services; (d) any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through our Services by any third party; (e) any errors or omissions in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Services; and/or (f) the defamatory, offensive, or illegal conduct of any third party.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JALIKOI, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the laws of Rwanda.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website or through other communication channels. Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
